LIFEGIVINGFORCE PROVIDES
SAFE, CLEAN WATER TO THE NEEDIEST IN HAITI
In partnership with Providence Haiti Outreach, LifeGivingForce deployed an LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF system to directly support a school of over 350 children in Marigot, Haiti. Although it is located on the south coast, Marigot still felt the effects of the Jan 12th earthquake. The local water supply in Marigot was severely corrupted and the population had to rely on bottled water. Till very recently, approx. 20% of the children at the school suffered from dysentery and were not attending school due to drinking from an unsafe water source after the Jan 12th earthquake. The LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF system was installed at the end of April and is now providing clean water for all the children of the school. This has resulted in now healthy children being able to attend classes on a regular basis. Special thanks to Providence Haiti Outreach for their continued love and support of the St. Dominque school in Marigot. |

After the January 12th earthquake, the Jenkins/Penn Haitian Relief Foundation immediately rushed to help the Haitian people. Positioned at the top of the local country club in Pétionville, the JP/HRO Organization supported over 80,000 people and set up local clinics to tend to those traumatized by the earthquake. LifeGivingForce installed an LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF system to directly support the JP/HRO hospital that was pulling water from a known E. coli and fecal infested water source. Since its instalment in February, the LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF system has provided clean water for over 100,000 people visiting the IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp hospital. Special thanks to Sean, Bruce and Allison for their amazing work in Pétionville. |

LifeGivingForce, in partnership with The Go Project and ESMI, conducted a number of field installations to support over 500 orphans and villagers in Les Cayes, Haiti. Field installations were up and running in just on 10 minutes, immediately purifying the dirty water hand pumped from underground wells. The LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF system can purify enough water per day to give each and every child in the community clean and healthy water. That equates to happier and healthier kids and increased attendance levels at school!

LifegivingForce, in partnership with ACDI/VOCA (Agricultural Cooperative Development International Volunteers in Overseas Cooperative Assistance), deployed an LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF system in the municipality of Côtes-de-Fer. As Côtes-de-Fer is extremely remote, traditionally there has been little to no access to clean drinking water for the entire community for quite some time. After the earthquake, LifeGivingForce contacted ACDI/VOCA which is active in the Côtes-de-Fer region. Jay Slough, COO of LGF, then travelled to Jacmel and trained ACDI/VOCA's local staff in how to operate the LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF unit for deployment in the region. Initially installed in one of the one of the many villages in Côtes-de-Fer, the effects were felt immediately as people in the community heard about the system and ran to get their very first drink of clean water in months. The LGF RAPID RESPONSE 10,000UF unit is now being used as a mobile water purification system in numerous clinics in the Côtes-de-Fer region, helping bring clean water to thousands of people. Special thanks to Emmet Murphy, Chief of Party, ACDI/VOCA. |
